LIVINGSTON -- The Macon County High boys soccer team captured a 2-1 victory at Livingston Academy on Friday evening.

Junior Holden Shrum scored both of the Tigers' second-half goals.

The match was scoreless at halftime.

Shrum's first goal came after he beat a defender along the left wing and converted on a one-on-one shot with the goalkeeper.

Then, classmate Jared Hill took a shot later in the half, and Shrum converted on the rebound after the goalkeeper couldn't corral's initial shot.

The Wildcats scored in the final minute on a long throw-in that resulted in a header conversion.

Macon County improved to 2-2 with the victory.

• The Tigers suffered a 4-0 loss to visiting Beech on March 26.

Senior Hunter Ensley scored two first-half goals to give his squad a 2-0 lead at halftime.

Then, classmates Edgar Celis and Caleb Fellers provided second-half conversions.

The Buccaneers improved to 3-1-1 overall and to 2-0 in District 9-AA play.
