Macon County High senior quarterback Jon Mark Gammons will lead the Tigers as they host the Industrial Bowl Jamboree on Aug. 16, facing Christ Presbyterian Academy at 8:30 p.m.

The Macon County High and Red Boiling Springs High football programs will be competing in the Industrial Bowl Jamboree, which will be held on Aug. 16 at Macon County High's Pat Parker Memorial Field.

The Bulldog varsity will face the Hendersonville High freshman team at 5:30 p.m.

RBS is coming off a winless 2018 campaign.

Hendersonville will face Lincoln County in both junior varsity and varsity competition at 6 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., respectively.

Lincoln County finished 5-6 last season, suffering a 48-7 loss at Hillsboro in the opening round of the Class 5A playoffs.

Conversely, Hendersonville finished 8-4 last season before dropping a 28-0 contest at eventual Class 6A state champion Oakland in the second round of the Class 6A playoffs.

The RePublic varsity will face Christ Presbyterian Academy's junior varsity at 8 p.m., and the CPA varsity will clash with the Macon County varsity at 8:30 p.m.

RePublic finished with a 5-6 record last season and did not make the Class 1A playoffs, but the Trail Blazers did capture a 22-20 win over Cumberland Cap in a charity football game played in early November.

Macon County finished 5-6 last season, dropping a 42-7 contest to visiting Nolensville in the opening round of the Class 4A playoffs.

CPA rolled to the Division II-Class AA state title, capturing a 41-21 victory over Battle Ground Academy in the state championship game to cap an unbeaten season.

Eight youth football teams will also be competing in the jamboree.

The varsity teams will compete in two quarters of an officiated competition.

The freshmen and junior varsity teams will compete in two 12-minute quarters consisting of a continuously-running clock, with stoppages only occurring between scores and the re-spotting of the football at the 30 yard line (due to there being no kickoffs).
