LAFAYETTE -- The Macon County High boys golf team suffered a five-stroke loss to visiting Wilson Central last Thursday afternoon at Macon County Golf Course.

Hartsville's Trey Melvin -- who won the Tennessean/Metro Parks Schooldays Golf Tournament in June -- shot 75 to lead the Wildcats.

Macon County junior Isaac Meador also shot 75.

Senior teammate Hayden Shockley posted a round of 82.

Red Boiling Springs senior Mason Hix played as an individual, shooting 94.

Macon County had just one female golfer, senior McKaylee Mix. Mix shot 83.

Kate Castle and Sarah Castle shot 77 and 80, respectively, for the Wilson Central girls.
