Jessie Mae Warner White Kelley

Jessie Mae Warner White Kelley was born on Dec. 6, 1929, in Macon County, to the late Jesse Warner and Idell Woods Warner. She was one of four children born to this union.

Jessie Mae was saved by the sweet Lord's grace in 1946 at the age of 17 and was a member of Cedar Bluff Missionary Baptist Church.

Jessie Mae married Woodrow White on Jan. 26, 1946. They were blessed with three children and more than 27 years together before Woodrow's passing on June 15, 1973.

Jessie Mae then married Donald Emerson Kelley. He passed away on Jan. 31, 2015.

Along with her parents and both husbands, Jessie Mae was also preceded in death by: her infant daughter, Sheila Ann White; step-grandson, Chad Hudson; sister, Inez Storey; and brothers, W.T. Warner and Jackie Franklin Warner.

Jessie Mae owned and operated Kelley's Restaurant.

After retirement, Jessie Mae enjoyed working in her flowers and gardening. Her favorite thing was to attend church.

On August 9, 2019, at the age of 89, Jessie Mae was called to her Heavenly home. She is no longer suffering. Jessie Mae's soul is resting easy with her Lord and savior Jesus Christ.

Jessie Mae is survived by: sons, Larry White (and wife, Jennie), Johnny Wayne White; grandson, Dexter White; step-grandson, Phillip White; step-great-granddaughter, Erin Frye; and step-great- grandsons, Dalton Hudson and Ryan Frye.

Funeral services were conducted on Aug. 12 from the chapel of Alexander Funeral Home, with Jerry Watson officiating. Interment followed in Cedar Bluff Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Dexter White, Phillip White, Ricky Storey, Barnie Storey, Mike Whittemore, Jimmy Glover and Dalton Hudson.

Honorary Pallbearers were Mike Warner, Norman Linder, Roy Swindle, Nathan Storey and Mike Prock.

Alexander Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
