Mary Dyer

Mary Lee Holland Dyer was born on Jan. 3, 1943 in Lafayette, to the late Frances Leon Holland and Annie B. Frazier Holland. She was one of three children born to this union.

Along with her parents, Mary was also preceded in death by: her brothers, Bobby Holland and Jerry B. Holland; and sisters; Betty June Centers and Lucy King.

Mary was employed at the Macon County Senior Citizens Center for eight years.

In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with her family and going to church.

Mary was saved by the good Lord's grace and was a member of Hilltop Missionary Baptist Church.

On April 5, 2019, at the age of 76, Mary was called to her heavenly home. She will be missed dearly by her family and friends.

Mary is survived by: her daughter, Kathy Lynn Parker; sons, John (Daphne) Dyer and David (Pamela) Meador; sister, Billie Ruth Carver; special family member and caregiver, Elaine Greer; grandchildren, Austin (Nicole) Meador, Jared (Macey) Meador, Grant Meador, Justin (Ashley) Dyer, Taylor Dyer (Alex Graves), and Amanda Greer; and great-grandchildren, Kylee Meador, Wesley Meador, Emery Meador, Ashtin Dyer, Ellie Mae Dyer, Jackson Osborne and Ayden Graves.

Funeral services were conducted on April 7 from the chapel of Alexander Funeral Home, with Jeff Likens officiating. Interment followed in Scott Cemetery.

Alexander Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
