Ronnie Wilson Reid

Ronnie Wilson Reid was born on Sept. 3, 1961, in El Paso, Texas, to the late Billy Wilson

Reid and Judith Neil Jones Reid. He was the only child born to this union.

Ronnie was a 1979 graduate of Macon County High School.

He was employed with Ladd Engineering Associates.

Ronnie married Dale K. Gaines on Aug. 3, 1988, and they were blessed with two boys and a new grand baby.

He attended Lafayette First Baptist Church.

Ronnie had been saved by the Good Lord's Grace as a 20-year-old man.

Ronnie loved his family. He enjoyed going to Tennessee Titans and University of Tennessee football games. Ronnie also enjoyed playing golf and spending time with friends.

On Aug. 19, 2019, at the age of 57, Ronnie Wilson Reid was called to his Heavenly home. He is no longer suffering. Ronnie's soul is resting easy with his Lord and savior, Jesus Christ.

Ronnie is survived by: his wife, Dale Gaines Reid; sons, Lance Reid (and wife, Katie), Trey Reid; and grandson, Harrison Reid. A host of extended family also survives.

Funeral services were conducted on Aug. 22 from the chapel of Alexander Funeral Home, with Chris Crowder and Tim Hickman officiating. Interment followed in Anderson & Son Memorial Park. Pallbearers were: Paul Thompson, David Gaines, David Hernandez, Jeff Key, Gene Patterson, Troy Burrow, Lyle Donoho and Barry Montgomery.

Tim Doss was an honorary pallbearer.

Alexander Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
