The Lafayette Fire Department was on scene Thursday, Feb. 29, in Webbtown to extinguish a fire that totally destroyed the home.

A house in Webbtown was destroyed by fire Feb. 29. Lafayette Fire Department was quick to respond and had the fire under control very quickly.

“At this time, it is still under investigation to find what started the fire,” Lafayette Fire Department Chief Todd Wagoner said. “We aren’t 100% sure what started it yet. I had an investigator look at it some yesterday afternoon, but there were still some hot spots in the rubble that needed put out and we’re going to have to go back out later in order to figure out the cause.”
