Esther Woods

Esther Juanita Woods, was born into this world April 5, 1931, in Russell County, Virginia, to Emmett Boyd and Carrie Crawford Boyd.

She departed this life for her Heavenly Home Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at the age of 92, 11 months and seven days. Esther very much enjoyed cooking, baking and spending time with her family. Most of all she loved her dogs. Esther’s presence here will be deeply missed, but our loss is truly Heaven’s gain.

Esther was preceded in death by her Husband, Gerald Woods; parents, Emmett Browning Boyd and Carrie Crawford Boyd; and sons, Cecil Woods, Terry Woods and Robby Woods.

She is survived by her children, Diana Stettner and husband, Wade, Karen Harmon, Keith Woods and wife, Judy, David Woods and wife, Shelia, Carla Huddleson and husband, Jeff, Brian Woods and wife, Paula and Joe Woods and wife, Jasmine; 22 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; and 36 great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were conducted Friday, March 15, 2024, at the Haysville Cemetery with Bryon Morgan officiating.
