Bulldogs beat MJCA, edged by Sunbright

After driving in the tying run with a two-run hit, Red Boiling Springs’ Chris Hackney dives into third base to set up his own go-ahead run in the third inning last Tuesday against Clay County.

RED BOILING SPRINGS — Red Boiling Springs split a pair of Saturday games, beating Mt. Juliet Christian Academy 10-2 and losing to Sunbright 5-4.

Sunbright took a 3-0 lead in the first inning and went up 5-0 in the third. The Bulldogs bounced back with a run in the fourth before falling short with three in the fifth, and final, frame with the tying run left on second base.
